Three ways pros lose money every week

The bid chase

Six calls, two answers.

You call six subs for one package. Two call back. One price arrives by text, another as a photo of a notepad, and they cover different work.

With Beedy: one room, one board. Every company answers the same scope, and you read the prices side by side.
Getting paid

"I'll pay you when it's done."

You finish the job, then spend two weeks calling about the check. 59% of small businesses have invoices 30 days late or worse.

With Beedy: the customer pays before you load the truck. From there the money can only move toward you.
The lead lottery

$80 for a ghost lead, again

Lead sites bill you whether you win the job or not, and sell the same lead to five other pros.

With Beedy: nothing per lead, nothing per month. We earn the card fee when you get paid through us.

Bid rooms

You set the price. They compete without seeing it.

Post the package with the price you're ready to pay, and every company in that trade near your site can answer. Your number stays with you. The companies see each other's prices, never the names behind them, and they keep sharpening until the room closes. You see every offer with the company on it, and you award whoever you want.

  • Post your target price
  • Out to the trade around your site
  • Prices in the open, names hidden
  • Compare price, lead time, rating
  • You award, not the algorithm

You put a number on the work.

Scope, deadline, and the price you're ready to pay. That number is yours alone: nobody in the room ever sees it. You are setting the bar instead of collecting quotes.

The money

Your customer pays first. You get paid as you go.

The whole price is paid up front and held by a licensed processor. When a step is done you send photos, your customer approves, and the money moves that day. Once a step is paid, a later cancellation cannot reach it.

  • Funded before day one
  • Photo proof on every step
  • Released step by step
  • Sent to your Stripe account
  • Auto-released if they go quiet

After the job starts

Once the money is in, the rules stop moving.

The five rules below are enforced by the payment plan, not by a phone call. The same on a $600 repair and on a $73,500 repipe.

PAID STEPS

A paid step is final.

Your customer approves, the money leaves escrow for your balance. A later cancellation refunds only what is still in escrow. It cannot reach a step you were paid for.

SILENCE

Their silence does not stall you.

You send the photos, Beedy chases your customer by text, WhatsApp or email. If they still say nothing a few days after that reminder, the step validates on its own and the money leaves. Never before a reminder has gone out.

A COMPLAINT

A complaint freezes the clock, both ways.

If your customer reports a defect, nothing moves in either direction: no auto-release, no automatic refund. You get 14 days to schedule the repair and do it. If you go quiet, your customer can hand the file to support after 4 days. Then a person at Beedy reads it and decides.

DAY 14

20% waits 14 days, then leaves on its own.

Once your last step is approved, a fifth of the price stays in escrow for 14 days, then releases without anyone clicking, unless a complaint is open. That holdback is what makes a customer comfortable paying the whole job before day one.

THE FILE

Your file writes itself while you work.

The estimate your customer e-signed, with its timestamp. Your arrival, confirmed by GPS at the address. The photos on every step, the change orders the customer paid for, the chat. If anyone ever has to decide, that is what they read.

Work as a crew

Hand a step to another pro. Beedy pays them directly.

Assign any step to another Beedy pro. When your customer approves it, the money goes straight to that pro's own account. You don't front the cash, and it never lands in your books as revenue. What you pay them stays between you and them.

Build bigger

A building is a dozen bid rooms.

Split it into as many packages as it has trades and run a room on each. Every package you award stays under your job, and the budget adds up as the awards land, so you know what the building costs before the first slab is poured.

Everything you need to get paid. Free.

Every request arrives as a brief

Your customer sends photos and describes the problem in their own words. Beedy turns that into a technical brief: likely cause, what to bring, access notes, rough hours. You quote from facts instead of guessing.

The paperwork, handled

Every job is a real contract.

Handshake deals end in small claims court. On Beedy, the estimate your customer signs is the contract, and the payment plan enforces it.

Scope and price, lockedThe signed estimate becomes the agreement. The milestone plan is the payment schedule, word for word, dollar for dollar.
Change orders in one tap"While you're here, can you also..." gets its own price. Nothing reaches the contract until your customer pays it. Then it is filed as CO-1, amount and date, and the plan gains a step.

What pros ask us first

In a bid room, do the other companies see my price?

Your price, yes. Your name, no. The other companies see the amounts on the table and nothing else: no company name, no rating, no lead time, and not the contractor's target either. Only the contractor sees who is behind each offer. A sealed process is how a contractor ends up with six quotes two weeks apart that nobody can compare.

If everyone sees the bids, am I just racing to the bottom?

The cheapest amount on the board is a number with no company attached. Nobody bidding can tell whether it comes from a crew that starts Monday or from one that shows up in three weeks. The contractor can: your offer reaches him with your lead time and your rating on it. He awards the package himself, and nothing hands it to the lowest price by default.

Zelle is free. Why would I pay 2 or 3%?

For the loyal customer who always pays, keep Zelle and log the job free in your Beedy book. Use Beedy for new customers and big tickets. 3% on a $4,000 job is $120. One unpaid job is $4,000.
