Disputes and claims

A problem reported.
A file reviewed.

The client reports the problem from the order, with photos. The contractor has to propose a repair visit. While the claim is open, auto-approval and the final 20% share are frozen. If nothing moves, Beedy support reviews the file and decides.

How it works

Repair first.
Decide if needed.

The contract of every order sets three tiers: repair by the contractor, then Beedy mediation, then the competent court, under Florida law.

  1. 01

    Report

From the order: what is wrong, photos, severity. During or after the visit.

    Client
  2. 02

    Propose the repair

The contractor is notified and has 4 days to propose a visit. With no visit booked at 14 days, the file goes to support.

    Contractor
  3. 03

    Confirm the repair

The client confirms or contests. With no answer, the repair is confirmed after 4 days.

    Client
  4. 04

    Review the file

Support reviews photos, approvals, messages and timestamps. If the file is not enough, a Beedy professional can come on site.

Good to know

What Beedy
does not do.

So you know who to turn to.

  • Beedy does not pay for damage. The contractor is liable, or their insurer. Beedy keeps the file and helps you get their details.
  • A report does not freeze everything. The client can still approve a milestone themselves. Pausing the whole job is a support decision.
  • The on-site visit is not automatic.A Beedy professional can come when the file is not enough.
  • Legal remedies stay open.Bank chargeback, complaint or court. The contract asks you to go through the repair first.

Frequently asked questions

When you
disagree.

Visit the help center
How do I open a claim?

From the order, with “Report a problem”. Describe what is wrong, attach up to 10 photos and set the severity. Only one claim can be open at a time per order.

Is the contractor paid while the claim is open?

Milestones already approved stay paid. Auto-approval of the next milestones and the final 20% share are frozen until the claim closes. You can still approve a milestone yourself.

What if the contractor does not answer?

They have 4 days to propose a repair visit. After 4 days with no visit booked, you can hand the file to support. At 14 days, it goes to support automatically.

Who decides, and on what basis?

Beedy support, from the order file: photos of each milestone, the claim, messages, timestamped events and the contractor’s arrival location. If the file is not enough, a Beedy professional can come on site.

Can I dispute the charge with my bank?

That remedy stays open. The contract asks you to go through the repair first, which is faster. A bank chargeback pauses the job, or cancels it if the work has not started.

Evidence at every milestone.
A procedure if things stall.

Payment goes through Beedy and is paid out only once each milestone is approved. If you disagree, the file is already built.
