Projects and packages

One build.
One package per trade.

Your file splits the build into work packages. Each package is posted, compared and paid on its own. The project keeps the overall view: budget, documents and each contractor’s progress.

How it works

From the file to the project.
One package at a time.

Packages are posted one by one, when you are ready. Each package posted on the marketplace uses one posting from your plan.

  1. 01

    Upload your documents

Drawings, specs, quotes, inspection reports, photos of the existing space.

    Owner
  2. 02

    Split into packages

The assistant suggests up to 6 packages, one trade each. You rename, edit or drop them.

    Owner
  3. 03

    Set a target price

Optional, entered by you, never estimated by the assistant, never read by contractors.

    Owner
  4. 04

    Post package by package

Each package becomes a request, with its bids, its agreement and its milestones.

    Owner
  5. 05

    Follow the whole build

Project feed, budget, documents. Each contractor sees the progress, not the others’ money.

The project rules.
Package by package.

A project belongs to the owner. Contractors come in through the package they won, and the hired contractor can bring in its crew.

Who sees what

One piece of information.
Three readers.

The owner sees everything. A hired contractor sees the project’s progress and the money of its own package. A contractor invited to bid reads the summary and the city.

does not do yet.

The current limits, written as they are.

  • No payment shared between contractors. One package, one contractor, one payment. A subcontractor is paid outside Beedy.

  • No manual adding of a contractor to the project.A contractor joins by winning a package.

Frequently asked questions

Before
splitting.

Visit the help center
Do I have to post every package at once?

No. Each package stays a draft until you post it. You can also drop it.

Does a package use a posting?

Yes, each package posted on the marketplace uses one posting from your plan. The 3 free postings therefore cover 3 packages.

Do contractors see my budget?

No. A package’s target price is stripped from everything a contractor reads. It helps you read the bids.

Does a contractor see what the others earn?

No. A hired contractor sees the project’s progress and the money of its own package, nothing more.

Which trades can I post?

11: plumbing, electrical, cleaning, general contractor, locksmith, appliances, renovation, gardening, air conditioning, moving and painting.
