The problem

The subcontractor is paid last.
So it bids late, high, or not at all.

On Beedy, the package is funded before the first day of work and released step by step. The company knows it will be paid; you only pay what is validated.

How it works

Six steps.
One thread.

From the brief to the verification, each step has its rule, its delay and its scene. Click a step or let the scenario play.

  1. 01

    Describe the package

Plans, photos or a sentence. The AI writes the brief, without your address.

  2. 02

    Receive the bids

40 companies notified, the same brief for all.

  3. 03

    Choose and sign

Numbered agreement, frozen at acceptance, change orders tracked.

  4. 04

    Fund the package

A single payment, held by Beedy, processed by Stripe.

  5. 05

    Validate step by step

Each step validated on photos releases its share.

  6. 06

    Verify and dispute

20% held 14 days; a claim freezes everything.

Describe the package

Three screens: description and files, organisation and questions, review. The AI asks at most 10 questions and writes the technical brief; your address, your name and your phone are removed from it.

One brief, read identically by every company.

  • Brief: work, products, duration, complexity, urgency

Projects and packages

One project, several trades.
Each its own package.

The project gathers your packages; each package stays a separate order, with its own payment, steps and thread.

Your packages, at your pace

A package in draft, one published, one in progress: the project keeps the overview while each trade moves on.

  • Packages in draft, published or skipped, with a target month
  • Your target price stays yours: it is never served to the companies
  • Consolidated budget: charged, released, held
  • Shared timeline and log: the companies see progress, never the others’ money

Your buyer team

Invite a site manager, an architect or the owner. Each one reads or edits according to their role; only the owner publishes and pays.

  • Up to 25 members, invitations valid 14 days
  • Viewer: reads progress and money
  • Editor: edits packages, dates, archives; does not publish, does not pay
  • Owner: publishes, pays, validates

What the company sees
before being chosen.

Enough to price accurately. Nothing that lets it approach you outside Beedy.

Visible to price

  • City and position to about 1 km
  • Technical brief
  • Photos and files
  • Planned steps
  • Prices and lead times of the other bids, anonymous
  • Name shortened to “First L.”

Hidden until the agreement

  • Address, floor, unit
  • Access code
  • Phone and email
  • Your target price, always

A confirmed visit opens the street, floor and unit to that company only, until 2 h after the slot. Never the access code nor the phone.

The money of a package

One payment, released
step by step.

Move the slider: the diagnostic, the work steps and the verification are recalculated, along with the fee by channel and the sales tax.

  • Diagnostic 5%, locked, non-refundable once the company arrives
  • Work 75% in 20 steps at most, released at each validation
  • Verification 20%, released 14 days after the last step
  • Beedy fee of 10% to 0.9% on the marketplace by amount, 2% or 0% by channel, never on the tax

Beedy sends your request to the companies that match it, and the rate goes down as the package grows.

When things go wrong

The rules are written
before the first day.

Claim, walk-out, cancellation: what happens, who acts, how fast.

You open a claim

On a step or at verification. The release of the money freezes and the company must answer.

  • Opened by the client or an administrator
  • 14 days to propose a repair
  • Escalation to support after 4 days
  • Outcomes: partial or full refund, rework credit, suspension of the company

The company cancels on the way

Once it has left for the site, a cancellation refunds you in full and penalises it.

  • 100% refund
  • $50 penalty for the company
  • 3 penalties in 90 days: no more jobs received
  • Package reassigned, remaining steps only

You cancel

A 100% cooling-off by amount, then a decreasing schedule until the company leaves for the site.

  • Cooling-off: 30 min (up to $250), 8 h ($250 to $800), 24 h (over $800)
  • Work started: capped at the amount still held
  • Cancellation by the company or by Beedy: 100%

Useful questions

Before you
get started.

Visit the help center
Can I invite my own subcontractors?

Yes. You invite them through your tender link; if one of them is chosen, the fee drops to 2% instead of the marketplace scale (10% to 0.9% by amount). You can also name a single company and pay step by step without competition.

Do the companies see my target budget?

Never. A package’s target price is not served to the companies. They see the brief, the files, the planned steps and, among themselves, the prices and lead times of the other bids, anonymous.

What happens if I do not validate a step?

The company gets a reminder at least 48 h before the deadline; without an answer from you within 7 days (4 days with a company that invited you), the step is validated and its share released.

How many steps can I plan?

Up to 20 work steps, on top of the diagnostic and the verification that always frame the plan.

Are licences checked?

For regulated trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), the state licence is checked with the DBPR and shown on the profile only while it is valid.

Can I change a package in progress?

Through a numbered change order (CO-1, CO-2…). A pending change request freezes the release of the steps, 14 days at most.

Is there a deadline for bids?

No. The request stays open until you award it; you can renew it 3 times per 24 h, and Beedy warns you after 2 h then 24 h without a bid.
